Day 7 -- We bought the farm

Or, at least, we're getting closer, having agreed on a price, a length of escrow, when we'll sign the contract (when we go back for a final visit early next month) and so on. This is an extraordinary turn of events. And if I weren't so tired, I'd blog about it. In the meantime, I leave you with this happy thought: Speaker Pelosi. Chairman Conyers (Ways and Means. ) Ahhhh.

Wait a cotton-picking moment! WAIT! This was fun to think about and play around with the idea about you moving there IN THE FUTURE!!!

You mean, you have bought the farm as a retreat right. I know the 15 miles that seperate us makes our visits too infrequent but a) this will make it only once a year b) I will be so violently jealous of your life I won't be able to stand it.

Email me and tell me how far this is from the city, the train lines, etc...

This is really great!!! Your children will love love love it.

Mieke--Eureka (hey that rhymes) your comment appeared after all. Thanks for being supportive of such a monumental decision...

Maya--the house we're trying to buy is in Austerlitz, so a bit north of yours. Now I'm dying of curiosity to know when you left there, why you left there, if you'll ever go back...and if you'll send me care packages from India Sweets & Spices (the greatest culinary achievement of Culver City, for sure) when I move...
